I paint the kind of peace I spent much of my life searching for.
When I was a little girl, I loved lying on the ground and watching the clouds drift across the sky. I didn’t have words for why I loved it so much. I only knew that beneath that wide, open sky, everything felt quiet.
I felt free.
For much of my life, expressing what I felt did not always come easily. Painting became another language for me — a place to breathe, process, and create space for what I could not always put into words.
After coming to the United States and building a life here, that connection to painting grew deeper. Over time, the landscapes of the South began to feel like a natural reflection of the calm I was drawn to.
Soft morning light over the marsh.
Quiet water beneath an open sky.
Grasses moving in the coastal breeze.
The stillness before the day begins.
These small Southern moments continue to inspire my work.
I am a self-taught artist, and I paint intuitively — allowing light, movement, texture, and imperfect marks to become part of each piece. Some paintings are quiet and restrained. Others carry more movement and energy. But they all begin with the same intention: to create a feeling.
I call my approach Southern Wellness Art — artwork inspired by Southern landscapes, atmosphere, and light, created to bring a sense of calm, openness, and connection into the home.
My hope is simple.
That when someone lives with one of my paintings, it gives them a small place to pause.
A little more room to breathe.
A little more peace.
